Your teen is going through a lot

Beyond the piles of schoolwork, social and family relationships, and the juggling of sports, work, clubs, and everything else, your teen is being asked to make decisions that will impact them for the rest of their life. All of this is happening while they're trying to figure out who they are, what they value, what they want, and about a million other things.

And you're watching it happen, often from a distance, even when you're in the same room. You want to help, but every time you try, it either doesn't connect or makes things harder. And that’s why I’m here.

I was a teen. Then a school counselor.

And now, I’m a therapist dedicated to helping you and your teen navigate all the ups and downs that come with this chapter. Being able to look at a teen's experience from so many perspectives has helped me understand the kind of support that can actually make a difference.

My approach goes beyond traditional therapy sessions. I prioritize working with parents, schools, and outside providers to give thoughtful, collaborative support, while also protecting your teen’s privacy and trust.

Hi, I’m Lane.

For over a decade, I've worked with teens and their families as a school counselor, an intensive in-community clinician, and a private practice therapist. Having spent so much time in the different worlds teens navigate every day, I wanted to find a way to bridge the gap between them.

I've often wondered what a difference it would make if we could bring together some of those different perspectives. Parents, teachers, coaches, school counselors, pediatricians, and other providers each see a different side of a teen. And sometimes, those pieces can help us see a much bigger picture.

That's something I bring into my work as a therapist. When it's helpful, I can draw on those different perspectives to better understand your teen and what they might need, without losing sight of the fact that therapy is their space.

Of course, it all starts with getting to know your teen. Not just what's bothering them or what everyone else thinks they need to work on, but who they are, what matters to them, and how they see the world.

From there, we can explore what's making things difficult, build on their strengths, and find practical ways to help them handle the challenges they're facing.

A mom’s experience:

“I reached out in search of a therapist who could truly help my daughter, who had previously worked with three different therapists without seeing meaningful improvement.  At the time, she was in her junior year of high school, struggling with significant anxiety and social challenges. She had become withdrawn and spent much of her free time alone in her room. From the very beginning, Lane’s professionalism, expertise, and ability to connect made all the difference. The positive changes were noticeable almost immediately, and over the past nine months, she has transformed into a confident, grounded, and happy young woman. She is now planning for her future, setting ambitious goals, and surpassing them. I cannot thank Lane enough for helping her recognize her value, equipping her with tools to manage anxiety, and guiding her toward personal growth and achievement. Her work is truly life-changing, and our family is forever grateful for the impact she has had.”

Let's talk about what's going on and how I can help‍
